Nashville Electric Service said no jobs will be lost when they close their North Nashville office on December 31.
The utility announced Monday that they are closing the location on Monroe Street due to “little to no traffic on most days.”
The staff from the Monroe Street location will relocate to the main office on Church Street.
NES said they hope to install a bill-payment kiosk at the Monroe Street location in the near future. Their Church Street office is only 1.6 miles away.
“It’s important for us to provide our customers with easy ways to communicate with us and pay their bills,” NES President & CEO Decosta Jenkins said. “We want our North Nashville location customers to know we are committed to providing them with convenient ways to pay their bills, whether it’s through our main office, bill-pay kiosks, E-bill program or mobile site.”
Bill-paying kiosks are also located in most Exxon and Mapco stores, including several locations within a two-mile radius of the North Nashville office. Customers can visithttps://www.nespower.com/paymybill.html to learn more about bill-paying options.
